When you have two or more pathways that have the same interventions for a problem the intervention will not be duplicated as long as the Problem, Target, Guide and Intervention text are the same. If you add a pathway and see an intervention duplicated for a problem please follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Go to Setup/Pathways and select one of the pathways.
  2. Go to the problem that contains the duplicated intervention
  3. Edit the intervention that is being duplicated. Note exactly how the intervention is listed including any spaces, special characters used, or misspellings.
  4. Next compare what you saw to the intervention in the other pathway that contains the duplicated intervention. Ensure that the words are spelled the same, the spacing is the same, and any characters used are the same.
  5. If everything looks identical it’s possible there’s a space that is just hard to see. Try copying the intervention text from the problem. Then go to the other problems with that same intervention, edit the intervention, deleting the existing intervention text and pasting in the copied text to ensure they are exactly the same.

To see the deduplicated intervention in a client chart, you would need to remove the pathways that on the client chart already that contained the duplicate intervention and re-add the modified/updated pathways.
